Increased battery replacement prices coming for iPhones, MacBooks, and iPads

Ana sayfa / Technology

Starting on March 1, 2023, Apple will be increasing the cost of replacing the battery in most of its products by between $20 and $50. The price increase will not affect users with AppleCare+ or ones whose iPhones are still under warranty. However, all other customers will be subject to the new prices.

Apple will hike nearly every battery replacement cost in March

For iPhones with a home button, the battery replacement cost will increase from $49 to $69. This applies to all models prior to the iPhone 14, which was released in September 2022 and saw its battery replacement cost increase from $69 to $99. The oldest model that Apple will replace a battery for is the iPhone 5.

For the iPhone X through the iPhone 13 range, the cost will rise from $69 to $89. The battery replacement cost for MacBooks will also be increasing, with the MacBook Air increasing by $30 and the MacBook Pro and MacBook increasing by $50.

The cost of replacing the battery in an iPad will remain the same, ranging from $99 to $199 depending on the model. However, the cost for all other models will increase by $20, raising the cost from $99 to $119.

It appears that these price increases will be applied worldwide, with similar increases in local currencies. Apple has stated that the current out-of-warranty battery service fee will apply until the end of February 2023, after which the new prices will go into effect.
