Apple continues to dominate the smartphone market. Sales data for the first half of 2023 showed that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 models were at the top of global smartphone sales. According to the research, Apple completely took the first four places.
The best-selling phones of 2023 are iPhone and Samsung
According to the research results, the iPhone 14 Pro Max has sold around 26.5 million units so far this year, making it the best-selling model on the market. Other iPhone models in the top four included iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 13.
After the top four models, the best-selling Android phone was the Samsung Galaxy A14. Appealing to the relatively affordable market, this model surprised by outselling flagship models such as the Galaxy S23. Right behind it was the Galaxy S23 Ultra with 9.6 million sales.
Five of the top 10 best-selling phones of 2023 were iPhone models. The other 5 models were Samsung’s Galaxy A and S devices. This shows that Chinese manufacturers such as Xiaomi, Vivo and Realme are lagging behind in global sales.

Overall, Apple has increased its market share compared to last year, fending off competition from Android brands. This success also aroused curiosity ahead of the iPhone 15 launch on September 12.
