Apple announced that it would allow developers to expand their promotions with the new ad slots in App Store. The tech giant has started to send e-mails to the developers to be ready to promote their app this holiday season with new placements. Here are all the details about App Store’s new ad slots.
Invitation for new ad placements in the App Store
Apple released iOS 16 and the new iPhone 14 series, Apple Watch Series 8, and AirPods Pro 2nd Gen a few days ago. Now, the company sends invitations to some developers that invite them to an online Webinar. The invitation is about the Apple Search Ads virtual event to promote the apps with new ad slots in the App Store.
Eric Seufert, a mobile developer, shared a screenshot of the invitation by saying, “I’m unsure if a timeline for Apple’s new ad placements in the App Store had previously been announced, but it appears that they’ll be live for the “holiday season.” So, we are sure that Apple will start to add new ad slots in the store with the coming updates.
The company says in the invitation, “Apps are more important than ever before – for consumers and brands. And, with new opportunities coming to Apple Search Ads, you can promote your apps across the App Store to engage even more customers this holiday season. Join our webinar for insights to help you plan your year-end app promotion strategy. We look forward to seeing you.”
While the App Store already has ads on the pages, the new ad slots will be a further step for Apple. With the new placements, developers will have the option to buy ad slots on the Store’s “Today” homepage. The ads will be relevant to each page, meaning consumers will see their search recommendations.
