However, this situation slowly began to change. The brand has recently started to keep up with EU laws by relaxing its criticized strict policies in the App Store. A new example of this is emulators. The latest information is that such software has started to appear in the company’s application store.
The emulator era has begun in the App Store
According to the latest information shared by Apple Insider, the way for emulators in the App Store has been opened after Apple kept up with the EU’s Digital Markets Act (DMA). It is stated that Emu64 XL is one of the emulators that passed Apple’s App Store review process and is available for download.
Another emulator added to the company’s application store is iGBA. It is known as a Gameboy Advance and Gameboy Color emulator and can allegedly play games of these platforms with extensive customization options. This can run on iPhones and iPads that can run iOS 12 and iPadOS 12, as well as Apple Vision Pro and M1 Macs.
Both applications mentioned above can be downloaded for free and used without requiring any in-app purchases.
