Apple CEO Tim Cook said that he cares about human health and that Apple’s most significant benefit will probably be health-related. The company has released a guide to support this goal. The guide includes nearly 60 pages of Apple Watch, iPhone and Apple Health reportsfor people to live healthier.
Apple’s new purpose: Empowering people to live a healthier day!
In the health industry, much of the work is done to support the medical sector and devices’ personal health/fitness features. We recently heard the Apple Watch reveal a hidden tumor. We hear that these devices help save lives. But they also improve many aspects of our daily life in terms of health.
Apple COO’s Jeff Williams says:
Apple is working to change how people think about, talk about, monitor, and focus on their health. We feel drawn to this work not only because of the opportunity to help advance human health but because we are driven by our principles to devote talent, resources, and expertise to where we can do the most good.
We believe passionately that technology can play a role in improving health outcomes and encouraging people to live healthier days. This report offers a snapshot of our work to advance health.
Since the beginning of our journey, the health innovations we’ve pioneered have aimed to help break down barriers between users and their everyday health data, between health care providers and patients, and between researchers and study participants. We intend to stay on this because nothing matters more.
