Apple has been working on a new device with smart display features for some time to strengthen its presence in the smart home market. This product, which is expected to be positioned as a competitor to Amazon Echo Show and Google Nest Hub, has long been referred to as Apple HomePad. However, it was suggested that the device, which was planned to be released in 2025, was postponed.
Apple HomePad may have been postponed
Mark Gurman, known for his leaks about Apple, said in Bloomberg’s Power On newsletter that the company aims to introduce HomePad this month, but the launch has been postponed for various reasons.
One of the biggest reasons for this postponement is that the new generation Siri developed by Apple is not yet ready. The revamped Siri was planned to be available in April with the iOS 18.4 update, but Apple recently announced that this feature will be delayed.
While it is claimed that the company can make radical changes in the renewed Siri and Apple Intelligence projects, it is rumoured that the release date of HomePad may be delayed even further. However, according to the first information, Apple distributed HomePad devices to some of its employees to test.
Employees will experience the product and provide feedback to the company. This shows that the device is largely complete, but artificial intelligence integration has not yet reached the desired level.
Despite all these negativities, HomePad is expected to be released in late 2025 or 2026. So what do you think about this issue? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
