Apple introduced the first version of Apple Intelligence with the iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1 developer betas. While these betas include some useful Apple Intelligence features such as Writing Tools, some important additions have not yet been released. Here are the Apple Intelligence features that are not yet available in iOS 18.1.
What Apple Intelligence features are missing from iOS 18.1?
In addition to the innovations that came with the iOS 18.1 beta, many Apple Intelligence features are still missing. The first of these is the standalone app called Image Playground and the integration of this function into apps such as Notes and Messages. This feature is currently not in beta and is expected to be available in future updates.
Another missing feature is Genmoji, which is based on Image Playground. This fun feature allows users to create their own personalized emojis, but it is not yet in beta. Similarly, Image Wand, which adds images to your notes based on context, is not available.
Priority Notifications, a feature that lets you quickly prioritize incoming notifications and shows the most important notifications at the top of the list, is also still missing from the beta. Similarly, Mail categories are not yet available and are waiting to be organized from your incoming emails.
In the Photos app, Memory Maker is active, while the Clean Up tool, which removes unwanted objects with a single tap, is still pending. Siri’s screen awareness, personal context, and the ability to do more across apps are also not yet in the beta. ChatGPT integration has not yet been implemented with Siri.
Apple Intelligence is currently only available in English, with support for other languages coming in the future. Apple Intelligence is also expected to expand to other platforms, as announced at WWDC, so the feature set will be even more extensive in the future.
