Apple unveiled iOS 18 at the WWDC event a few weeks ago. New home screen features, Apple Intelligence and many more are coming. But Apple is not stopping, the tech giant has started working on iOS 19, macOS 16, watchOS 12 and visionOS 3.
Apple is using the codename ‘Luck’ for iOS 19
According to Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg writer known for his Apple coverage, the company has officially started working on major operating system updates for 2025. Here are the codenames of these updates:
- iOS 19: “Luck”
- macOS 16: “Cheer”
- watchOS 12: “Nepali”
- visionOS 3: “Discovery”
Gurman notes that this work may seem early, but it fits in with Apple’s software development schedule. Since Apple has started developing next year’s hardware products, software needs to be developed to test these devices.
Although detailed information about iOS 19 is not yet available, it is highly anticipated what kind of innovations Apple will offer in its new software. The features that came with iOS 18 created quite a stir. Innovations such as new home screen arrangements and Apple Intelligence will improve the user experience.
