Performance data for Apple’s A19 Pro processor developed for the iPhone 17 series has emerged. According to Geekbench 6 test results, the A19 Pro exceeded 4,000 points in single-core performance, reaching similar levels to the company’s new-generation desktop processor M4.
Apple will come out with the A19 Pro processor
The processor’s multi-core test result remained around 10,000 points. This score means an increase of approximately 15% compared to its predecessor, the A18 Pro. The A18 Pro processor performed at an average of 3,400 points in single-core and 8,200 points in multi-core.
The M4 processor offers over 3,800 single-core and 15,288 multi-core performance. The jump shown by the A19 Pro in single-core is due to the processor’s performance cores operating at higher frequencies.
Apple is preparing to use a vapor chamber cooling system for the first time in the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models to more effectively manage the thermal load of the A19 Pro processor. This system, known as the vapor chamber, is expected to provide more stable performance under long-term high loads.
The A19 and A19 Pro processors are being developed with TSMC’s third-generation 3nm production technology called N3P. This new generation lithography is designed to be more advanced than current solutions in terms of both performance and power efficiency.
