Apple is coming with its new generation Mac models!

Ana sayfa / News

Apple’s roadmap for the Mac series has emerged. According to leaked information, the models expected to be released in 2025 and 2026 include MacBook Pros, MacBook Airs, iMac, Mac mini and Mac Pro equipped with M5 and M6 chips, as well as a new affordable MacBook with A18 Pro chip.

The documents in question were obtained from product identifiers used in Apple’s internal systems. First, the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models updated with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips are expected to be released in late 2025.

It is predicted that these models, defined as J714c, J714s, J716c and J716s, will have TSMC’s new generation “SoIC-mH” packaging technology, which will increase thermal efficiency. There will also be updates in the desktop Mac family during the same period. The M5 iMac (J833ct) and Mac mini (J873s) models with M5 Pro processors are also included in this calendar.

A new Mac Pro, identified with the code J704, is also planned to be introduced towards the end of 2025. Since the current M4 Max chip does not have an UltraFusion interconnect, it is stated that this model may come with the M3 Ultra or the yet-to-be-announced M5 Ultra chip. With this model, the future of the Mac Pro series will be reshaped.

By 2026, the MacBook Air series is expected to switch to the M5 chip. The J813 and J815 identifiers indicate that the current 13-inch and 15-inch screen sizes will be preserved. Later that year, Apple is seen planning a bigger hardware innovation for the MacBook Pro series.

The 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models equipped with M6 Pro and M6 Max chips are included in the system with the designations K114c, K114s, K116c and K116s. There is also information that this new generation of MacBook Pros will use an OLED display and will prefer a thinner, redesigned chassis.

The M6 chip may be the first processor in the Apple Silicon family to have a built-in cellular modem. This is seen as a concrete result of Apple’s plans to integrate its own modem technology with the Apple Silicon architecture. This integration indicates that cellular connectivity may become standard on Mac devices.

In addition, two new Mac Studio configurations planned to be introduced in 2026 are also included in the documents. Although the details of these models, recorded with the identifiers J775c and J775d, are not yet clear, it is estimated that they target performance-oriented users.

The report also includes two more Mac models that have not yet been confirmed. There is no information about the J804. However, the identifier J700 is associated with a new MacBook model that Apple plans to equip with the A18 Pro chip and is expected to be more affordable. This device may stand out as Apple’s first Mac experience outside the Apple Silicon architecture.
