Apple is moving iPhone users to Android!

Ana sayfa / Android

Apple has significantly expanded its iPhone rules to comply with the EU’s Digital Markets Act (DMA). The latest of these expansions is file transfer between iPhone and Android. Apple announced that it will make the transition from iPhone to Android more customizable in Europe.

In a new compliance document, Apple outlined several changes for iPhone models in the EU until 2025. These changes include the ability for users to uninstall the pre-installed Safari browser by the end of 2024. Apple will also offer a “browser switching solution” to make it easier for users to transfer data between different browsers on the same iPhone.

But perhaps the most important change will be Apple’s support for “more user-friendly” data transfer for iPhone users. The Android migration tool is scheduled to launch in 2025. The company said it aims to improve data transport options for other manufacturers.

New rules under the DMA are challenging big tech firms like Apple. Big companies must open up their platforms and allow more choice for users. Apple’s document does not specify whether the changes will be limited to Europe, while the previous rules only applied in the EU.

These moves show that Apple is making major adjustments to the iPhone experience. But it remains to be seen whether the customizable options will reach users outside the EU.
