As every year, Apple continues its events without interruption this year as well. Let Loose, which will be the first Apple event of 2024, will be completely focused on the iPad. More details have emerged about the Apple Let Loose event to be held tomorrow, May 7th. Here are the new iPad models and everything expected to be introduced at the Apple Let Loose event…
Apple Let Loose to be held on May 7th! What will be introduced?
Apple, expected to introduce especially new iPad models and accessories at this event, seems to be announcing significant innovations again. With iPad sales declining in 2023 without any hardware updates, Apple has been pushed to bring innovation this year. The event, where next-generation iPads and products like Apple Pencil will be introduced, will start at 17:00 Turkey time on May 7, 2024.
Next-generation 12.9-inch and 11-inch iPad Pro
Of course, one of the most important devices to be highlighted at the event will be the next-generation iPad Pros. According to reports, Apple will announce new 12.9-inch and 11-inch iPad Pro models, and these tablets will be the first iPads with OLED screens. Thanks to the OLED panel, the iPad Pros will be able to offer improved brightness and contrast, providing more effective black display.
Expected to be 20% thinner for the 12.9-inch model, while this rate drops to 15% for the 11-inch iPad Pro. It is said that due to these thinness ratios, the iPad Pros, which are claimed to have smaller batteries, will not disappoint users with OLED optimization.
iPad Pro with M3 or M4 chip
One expectation is for Apple to surprise by introducing the M4 processor with the new generation iPad Pro models. The processor, especially focused on artificial intelligence, can be used in Pro versions. However, it’s more likely that Apple will stick to the expected move and use the M3 processor in their devices. Additionally, it’s expected that the front camera will be moved to the long edge of the iPad Pros, which will provide a more professional use.
12.9-inch and 10.9-inch iPad Air
If these claims turn out to be true, for the first time, a wide iPad screen will surpass the Pro model. According to some claims, if the 12.9-inch iPad Air model emerges to utilize the mini-LED technology present in the current Pro, Apple seems to continue using the LCD technology found in previous versions for the new generation iPad Airs. Additionally, we might see new color options for the iPad Air at the Apple Let Loose event.
The New Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil 3
Among the products to be introduced, the most notable ones will be the new Magic Keyboard and the 3rd generation Apple Pencil. Unlike the current keyboard, the new one will feature an aluminum base, creating a more realistic laptop feel. Additionally, the Magic Keyboard is expected to have a larger trackpad, but it won’t be compatible with iPad Air models.
The Apple Pencil 3 is expected to have magnetically interchangeable tips, allowing for better drawing and offering a better user experience. It’s still unknown whether the new generation Pencil will be exclusively for Pro models. Users of the brand are eagerly anticipating whether the new Apple Pencil will come with a USB-C update or not.
iPad mini 7 and iPad 11 won’t be introduced
According to emerging reports, Apple doesn’t plan to introduce the iPad mini 7 and iPad 11 models yet. The brand, which could introduce a lower-budget iPad at the September event, is currently focusing on the high-end segment.
