Apple logo puts fruit company in confrontation with Apple!

Ana sayfa / News

With an approximate market value of $3 billion, Apple is the world’s largest company. Apple’s apple logo, which has become a status symbol due to its high-quality products and successful advertising policies, can now be seen almost everywhere. However, it seems that the tech giant is unwilling to share its logo, which has become a status symbol.

Apple sues the Swiss Fruit Association

In addition to trying to avoid the imitation of its products, Apple also seeks to prevent the imitation of its company logo. The company’s latest lawsuit is quite interesting. With the recent lawsuit, Apple is demanding that the Swiss Fruit Association change its logo.

Details of the lawsuit, which has been ongoing since 2017, were recently shared with the public. The Swiss Fruit Association’s logo features a red apple with a white cross symbolizing the Swiss flag. The organization redesigned its logo in 2011 to commemorate their 100th anniversary. Apple’s lawyers have filed a lawsuit claiming that the apple in this logo resembles their own symbol.

Critical decision announced: No need for App Store and Play Store!

The Japanese government has made a decision stating that Apple and Google's smartphone app stores have negatively affected competition.

While accusing Apple of monopolizing anything resembling a fruit, the Swiss association claims that the apple figure is universal. On the other hand, in 2022, the World Intellectual Property Organization granted Apple a partial victory. However, this case has not yet reached a final conclusion. It is a fact that the association’s apple logo resembles Apple’s amblem.

When it comes to its logo, Apple follows a rather aggressive policy. The company previously engaged in a logo dispute with the Prepear company. Following Apple’s complaint, Prepear had to change the shape of the leaf on its amblem, which depicted a pear. By changing the leaf design in its logo, Prepear managed to avoid a possible compensation claim.

It appears that Apple will continue to aggressively protect its logo. What are your thoughts on these lawsuits involving the Apple amblem? Feel free to share your opinions in the comments section.
