Apple may switch to 200 MP camera sensor in iPhones!

Ana sayfa / News

Apple continues its work on high-resolution camera sensors. It has been learned that the company is testing a new camera sensor offering 200 megapixel resolution for use in future iPhone models.

According to information from sources close to Apple, the tested sensor will most likely be located in the main camera module. Camera sensors at the 200 MP level are already used by some Android manufacturers.

Apple’s initiation of the testing process in this area indicates a new era in the company’s approach to image processing, which focuses on quality rather than resolution. However, it has not yet been determined which iPhone model the sensor in question will be used in.

Since the design process of the iPhone 17 series has been completed, it is not expected to include such a sensor in this model. It is likely that the new sensor will be used in the iPhone 19 series, which will be introduced in 2027, which coincides with the 20th anniversary of the iPhone.

Apple’s future plans include changes not only in the camera side, but also in design and screen technologies. It is stated that the company will switch to a perforated screen design with under-screen Face ID for the iPhone 18 model to be released in 2026, and in 2027, it will move the front camera under the screen to offer a full-screen experience without a frame.

This move means a design transformation at a level never seen before in iPhone history. So what do you think about this? Which smartphone do you use in your daily life? You can easily share your answers with us in the comments section below.
