Ana sayfa /

Apple has been working on its own 5G modems for a long time. Recent reports have revealed that the development of these chips is complete and ready to be placed in the iPhone. A famous Apple analyst claimed that the iPhone SE 4 could feature a 5G modem developed by Apple.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared important information about the company’s new 5G strategy based on supply chain sources. Accordingly, Apple will produce 35 to 40 million devices using its own 5G chip next year. This figure is expected to reach 90 to 110 million in 2026 and 160 to 180 million in 2027.

The tech giant wants to improve the design and integration of mobile connectivity technology in its devices by developing its own 5G modems. It is planned to be used in the iPhone SE 4 and iPhone 17 Air models, which will be released in 2025.

iPad mini 7 details leaked: No OLED!

The Apple iPad mini 7 will do big things with its small size. It is said to come with an 8.3-inch LCD screen, increased performance and Touch ID.

Apple will combine Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities on a single chip for higher efficiency and longer battery life. The move will pave the way for the company to reduce its dependence on Qualcomm, which supplies its 5G chips.

Of course, the license agreement between the two companies continues until 2027. Apple is expected to use its own 5G chips after this date.

If the predictions are correct, Apple’s move to 5G modems could have a major impact on the smartphone industry. Next year is likely to be a turning point for both the iPhone series and 5G chips.
