iPhone 17 demand boosts Apple’s $4 trillion valuation
The primary driver behind this historic success was strong market demand for the iPhone 17 series. Counterpoint Research reported that sales increased by 14% year-over-year in the first 10 days. The standard iPhone 17 model, in particular, sold one-third more than last year.
Apple’s growth came despite the US’s 2025 tariffs on Chinese imports. To avoid Donald Trump’s tariffs, the company accelerated its production relocation strategy, moving iPhone production to India and iPad assembly to Vietnam.
This flexible production strategy has enabled Apple to maintain its profitability. Analysts noted that this has helped maintain margins despite the $100 price increase on the iPhone 17 Pro. This demonstrates Apple’s ability to “sustain growth in a protective environment.”
Markets are now focused on Apple’s October 30th earnings report. Wedbush Securities estimates that Apple’s expanding AI services could generate $10 billion in annual revenue by 2027.
