At the event held last month, Apple announced several new devices. While the star of the show was the iPhone 16 series, one new feature garnered a lot of attention. With the iPhone 16, a new Camera Control button is now present on the devices. Today, Apple released a new promotional video for this Camera Control button. The video highlights the Camera Control button featured on the iPhone 16 Pro. Here are the details…
iPhone 16 Pro and the Camera Control Button
While Apple doesn’t explicitly refer to the new feature as a button, users have begun calling it that since it is activated through a physical button on the device. Apple is promoting this new camera feature extensively to ensure it receives the attention it deserves.
In the video, Apple demonstrates everything you can do with the button on the iPhone 16 Pro and includes the following statement:
“Introducing Camera Control on iPhone 16 Pro. An easier way to access your camera, frame your shot, adjust functions like zoom, exposure, or depth of field, and switch between every lens.”
While the promotional video primarily focuses on the zoom feature, it also highlights the button’s ability to access color tones, all camera settings, and capture different angles.
The ad’s tagline, “Never miss a frame”, emphasizes the feature’s ease of use. Apple chose to showcase the iPhone 16 Pro because its camera system is more advanced compared to the regular series. The camera features of the iPhone 16 Pro include:
- 48 MP (wide), f/1.8, 24mm, 1/1.28″, 1.22µm
- 12 MP (telephoto 5x zoom), f/2.8, 120mm, 1/3.06″, 1.12µm
- 48 MP (ultra-wide), f/2.2, 0.7µm
- TOF 3D LiDAR scanner (depth)
- Dual LED flash, HDR, 4K video recording, Dolby Vision HDR
- ProRes, 3D (spatial) video
