Apple Vision Pro 2 to Skip M4 Chip, Will Launch Directly with M5

Ana sayfa / News

Recently, it was suggested that a more affordable version of Apple Vision Pro, with lower-resolution displays, could be released in 2025. Now, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the Apple Vision Pro 2, expected to launch in 2026, will skip the M4 chip and come directly with the M5 chip. Here are the details…

The current Apple Vision Pro is powered by the M2 chip. Logically, the next generation would be expected to have the M3 or M4 chip. However, analyst Kuo suggests that Apple will jump directly to the M5 chip to ensure compatibility with Apple Intelligence.

The reason for this is that while M2-powered computers are compatible with Apple Intelligence, the augmented and virtual reality environment demands more processing power to run productive AI functions on the Apple Vision Pro.

Kuo also notes that the price of the Apple Vision Pro 2 is not expected to change significantly compared to the first generation, as the design will not see major changes. However, it is reported that the headset could be lighter and offer a longer battery life.

While the overall design and hardware features are expected to remain largely unchanged, Kuo says this will help reduce production costs and keep prices steady.

Despite this, Kuo predicts that a more affordable version of Apple Vision could be priced similarly to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, while the Apple Vision Pro 2 will remain a premium high-priced device.
