According to rumors and insider information, Samsung’s first XR headset is codenamed “Moohan.” It is said to be developed in collaboration with Qualcomm, Samsung, and Google. Now, the expected launch timeline for the device has surfaced. The developer model is rumored to be introduced in October 2024, with a consumer launch expected in March 2025.

While specifics on how Samsung will introduce the product remain uncertain—it could be sent to developers first or announced with a launch event—the headset is anticipated to rival Apple Vision Pro with more advanced features.

Only 800 units of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 model will be produced

A special model for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6, which was introduced at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, has also been revealed.

Previously, Samsung’s initial XR headset project was canceled due to the advanced capabilities of Apple Vision Pro. The upcoming Samsung XR headset, developed in collaboration with Qualcomm, is expected to feature the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 processor and operate on Google’s AR-focused operating system, marking it as Samsung’s first AR headset.

Leaks suggest the XR headset will feature two 1.03-inch square OLED screens with a resolution of 2500×2500 pixels, boasting 3500ppi pixel density and a 90Hz refresh rate.
