All the new features announced with Apple visionOS 2
For Apple Vision Pro users, the new guest mode is a major improvement, making it much more user-friendly. This mode allows guest users to access only specific applications, making it easier to lend the device or use it for demonstrations. You can now choose which apps your friends can access when showing them the Vision Pro.
With visionOS 2, Apple Vision Pro now supports Bluetooth mice. Yes, you heard that right! You can now use your device not only with hand or eye tracking but also with a Bluetooth mouse, making desk work more efficient.
The Journal app, introduced and highly praised with iOS 17.2, is coming to Apple Vision Pro with visionOS 2. This app makes it much easier to record your notes, thoughts, and memories. Imagine lying in bed at night, putting on your headset, and writing in your journal.
Apple has also enhanced the Personas feature used in FaceTime calls. These digital avatars are now more realistic and detailed. With the new update, skin textures and other details will be much clearer, allowing for more natural communication with the other person. Calls will now be much more realistic.
visionOS 2 offers significant improvements in hand and eye tracking. The calibration issues and delays experienced by users have been greatly reduced with this new update. Your hand and eye movements will now be detected much more accurately and quickly. Those annoying delays that were previously complained about will be a thing of the past.
The new visionOS 2 comes with Apple Pencil support. This feature is a big advantage, especially for users doing creative work. Drawing or taking notes with the Apple Pencil on Vision Pro’s large screen will take the user experience to the next level.
We will see if the innovations brought by visionOS 2 meet the expectations of Apple Vision Pro users. Features like guest mode, Bluetooth mouse support, Journal app integration, more realistic Personas, and improved hand and eye tracking make Vision Pro seem more useful.
