Apple Watch Series 10 was unveiled at the Glowtime event.The smartwatch, which comes with a much more advanced screen and a renewed design, also promises a customizable experience with watchOS 11. Here are all the details.
Apple Watch Series 10 features
The Series 10 has the biggest display the company has ever produced. Accordingly, it comes with an even bigger screen than the Watch Ultra. It’s also 30 percent larger than the previous generation. Users will be able to see more text in apps like Mail and News.
Just below the crystal is Apple’s first wide-angle OLED display. Each pixel is optimized to emit more light at wider angles. According to Apple, the Series 10’s display is 40 percent brighter.
The Series 10 is about 10 percent thinner than the Series 9 and comes in at 9.7 mm thick. It is thinner but also lighter. Aluminum cases are 10 percent lighter. With Series 10, stainless steel will be replaced by Grade 5 titanium. It will be 20 percent lighter than stainless steel.
New colors were also introduced, including Jet Black and Rose Gold, Silver Aluminum. The smartwatch can also play music and podcasts directly through the speaker for the first time. Apple Watch is the fastest charging Apple Watch ever, completing 80 percent of the charge in 30 minutes.
Powered by the new S10 chip, Watch 10 stands out in performance, power efficiency and artificial intelligence. It also uses a new neural network to reduce background noise when making calls with the watch. Smart Grouping will also add new widgets when you need them.
Some health features will be supported by Apple Intelligence. The smartwatch will use the accelerometer to note breathing disorders and alert the wearer to sleep apnea. Sleep Apnea detection will also be available on Series 9 and Ultra 2.
Apple Watch Series 10 has a starting price of $399. It will be available on September 20 and users can pre-order it now.
