What did the watchOS 10.1 update bring for Watches?
The latest version of watchOS 10, released in September, introduces the NameDrop feature, allowing you to share your contact information when you bring your smartwatch close to another iPhone or Watch.
Furthermore, the new version introduces the much-anticipated Double Tap feature, initially highlighted by Apple, for Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2. Whether it will be available for other Watch models in the future remains unknown.
For those unfamiliar, the Double Tap feature performs a function you assign when you tap your index finger to your thumb twice. Answering calls, ending calls, stopping alarms are some examples of this function.
Additionally, the update resolves an error causing certain information to be displayed incorrectly in the Weather app. You can find all the release notes of the new version below.

- Fixed the error that prevented the weather section from loading in the Home app.
- Resolved the issue that occurred after disabling the AssistiveTouch feature.
- Fixed the issue of the clock not synchronizing in the Weather app.
- Fixed the issue causing the scroll bar to not appear.
