Apple: “We are 2 years behind the competition!”

Ana sayfa / AI

For the past five years, while all major tech companies around the world have made significant strides in artificial intelligence, it was said that the world-renowned tech firm Apple was very, very late in making its Apple Intelligence move. It seems that the global tech giant and its employees are not far off from this idea.

Apple Employees: “We’re Late in the AI Move!”

Recent statements from Apple employees have revealed the tech giant’s current position in artificial intelligence. According to information shared by Mark Gurman, known as one of the tech reporters closest to Apple, internal sources confirm that Apple’s AI technology is significantly behind its competitors.

The company’s internal research shows that its AI system, named Apple Intelligence, lacks the wow factor expected when compared to the technologies offered by its competitors. Specifically, comparisons with OpenAI’s ChatGPT reveal that ChatGPT produces 25% more accurate results and responds to 30% more questions than the new Siri.

To close this gap, Apple is pursuing an interesting strategy: The company plans to offer more advanced AI support to its users by integrating ChatGPT into its operating systems through a modified version, thanks to a strategic partnership established with OpenAI.

Apple Intelligence support is currently available on the iPhone 16 series, Macs, and the iPad series, including the iPad mini 7 announced last week (excluding the entry-level model). The first AI features are expected to arrive on these devices next week.

Apple’s future plans include the iPhone SE 4, which will be released in March, and an AI-supported entry-level iPad to be launched later in the year. It is also mentioned that this technology will be introduced to Vision Pro.
