Apple has received an official patent for a new exciting futuristic iMac. With this patent, the company may redesign the iMac after a long time. We haven’t seen a lot of differences in these models in terms of the design. The next generation iMac is expected to be an all-in-one desktop with a continuous glass body.
Apple granted a patent called “Electronic Device with Glass Housing Member”
This patent is one of the best for Apple device concepts. Apple may be the only brand with this design type even in the future. Indeed, the iMac will have its parts on a chassis that consists of a curved body on one edge of the table used to hold input devices and a larger flat area containing the screen.
With this design, it doesn’t seem much possible to be portable and to keep the glass upright for the iMac. Therefore, Apple will produce a section that supports the glass with a slot to fit the curved part between the bottom and the main panel. The brand will also use it for the tools such as ports for network connections, peripherals, and power.
Apple also aims to reduce the weight pressures on the glass with this slot. And there is a keyboard or Magic Trackpad section on the design. According to Mark Gurman, the brand is working on at least two iMac models and will probably have the “M3” series of chips.
Mark Gurman also said, “I also still believe that Apple is working on a larger-screened iMac aimed at the professional market. I’d imagine this will use a variation of the M3 chip, likely an M3 Pro and M3 Max. That would match the chips inside of the MacBook Pro. I don’t think combining a Mac Studio or Mac mini plus an Apple Studio Display cut it for many pro users who want more screen real estate”.
