Apple is preparing to announce many innovations related to its software at WWDC 2024, which it will organize in the coming days. In addition to iOS 18/iPadOS 18 with artificial intelligence support, updates on products such as Apple Vision Pro will be announced. Here are the products to be introduced at Apple WWDC 2024.
What will be introduced at Apple WWDC 2024?
Giants like Google and Microsoft organized artificial intelligence-focused events last month. In this context, Apple will share its innovations for artificial intelligence with WWDC 2024 on June 10. Siri’s comprehensive update seems to attract attention at the event.
iOS 18 / iPadOS 18
With the iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 updates, Apple will support RCS messaging. This feature will replace SMS, and will support read and react with Android devices. The update is also expected to include custom routes in Apple Maps, voice recording in Notes, and a more customizable home screen.
Apple Music may also offer AI-generated playlists using OpenAI tools. Native Apple apps could also benefit from AI functionality.
Siri with ChatGPT
Siri is expected to get a much more advanced artificial intelligence as part of the iOS 18 update. Recent reports have revealed that Apple has reached an agreement with OpenAI and will offer ChatGPT in the Siri infrastructure.
In this context, it is thought that Siri will be able to perform tasks such as much better responses, transcription and photo editing.
macOS 15
Apple may introduce some of the innovations it will include in iOS with macOS 15. Accordingly, it is possible that the General tab in the Settings section will be raised and the Sound and Notification options will be lowered. The Siri icon may also be redesigned as a single-color symbol.
Hardware
On the hardware side, no iPhone or Watch is expected. However, it is thought that Apple may announce M3 or M4 versions of Macs. AirPods Max with USB-C support and a revamped Apple TV are also expected. Vision Pro may also expand to new markets outside the US.
