Apple still hasn’t fixed the audio bug on Mac devices!
On February 2, 2012, Apple acknowledged an issue with audio balance shifting to the left or right channel with the OS X 10.2 update for Mac computers. This bug was quite bothersome for users. For example, while listening to music, suddenly the sound level in the right earpiece could increase while less sound came from the left earpiece. This significantly diminished the user experience.
Apple mentioned that the solution to the problem was to manually adjust the audio channel to the desired position. However, a developer named Fabian claimed via Twitter that Apple still hasn’t fixed this issue it acknowledged 12 years ago. Other Mac users supported this claim.
Apple’s announcement that users could manually fix this issue, and moreover, the fact that it hasn’t been resolved despite numerous updates over the years, has left users bewildered.
Some developers have suggested that the company may not see this as a significant issue and thus has prioritized it at a lower level. This possibility seems quite likely. After all, it’s not very plausible for the company to forget about this issue in the face of hundreds of complaints.
Many are curious whether the company will release an update in 2024 to address this issue, which has been ignored for years and has been a topic of discussion on social media in recent days. We’ll see this in the coming days.
