Apple’s iPhone prototype without physical buttons revealed!

Ana sayfa / News

While Apple’s new iPhone model is eagerly awaited all over the world, the prototype of a secret project has caused quite a stir. Apple’s long-rumored taptic button project, known as “Project Bongo”, has finally appeared on the internet as a prototype. So, what features does it have?

The special device, shared by a YouTube channel called Apple Demo, revealed Apple’s future design vision. Dubbed “Vesica Piscis”, the prototype is completely different from the iPhones we’re used to. It lacks the traditional power and volume buttons. Instead, there is a single volume button.

When the device is powered up, the button provides taptic feedback at three different points. Taptic button technology makes it feel like users are pressing a physical button, but in fact these buttons offer a completely virtual experience.

This prototype was actually developed between the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 Pro, but was apparently canceled due to some technical difficulties or strategic decisions during the development process. Even though this taptic button project is incomplete, we have seen that Apple is working on such solutions, which means that the company may come up with more radical design and functionality changes when we least expect it.

Judging by the prototype, codenamed Vesica Piscis, Apple is looking to tactilely transform devices. Although it is not known whether Apple will revive this project in future models, it has attracted the attention of users.
