Garmin has launched a new Approach CT1 SuperStroke Edition, a refined version of its NFC-enabled tracking tag designed specifically for golfers using SuperStroke putter grips. This version offers the same core features as the standard CT1 but comes with a new form factor built to fit directly into the tech port of select SuperStroke grips.
Approach CT1 SuperStroke Edition is built for golf precision
The Approach CT1 SuperStroke Edition uses NFC to help golfers track each putt. You simply tap the tag to your Garmin smartwatch like the Approach S44, before each stroke. The tag then logs data such as shot length, direction, and accuracy.
That information appears in real time on your connected Garmin smartwatch and syncs with the Garmin Golf app for deeper analysis. You can also review historical data, spot performance trends, and evaluate your short game over time.
Same features, new design for SuperStroke grips
Garmin hasn’t changed the internals. The key difference is compatibility with SuperStroke grips that feature a built-in tech port. That allows for a clean fit without needing external straps or add-ons.
Here’s what the Garmin Approach CT1 SuperStroke Edition offers:
- NFC-based shot tracking
- Designed for SuperStroke putter grips
- Compatible with Garmin golf smartwatches
- Logs shot length, accuracy, club type, and location
- Syncs with Garmin Golf app for stats and trends
- No battery required
- IPX7 water-resistant
- Weighs 6.0g, measures 27 × 12.1 mm
Garmin expands its golf tech ecosystem
The new tag reinforces Garmin’s growing lineup of golf-focused accessories. While minor in form factor, the Approach CT1 SuperStroke Edition plays a valuable role for players who want deeper insight into their putting game without adding bulk or needing to recharge.
It’s available now globally, giving golfers one more tool to fine-tune their performance down to the final stroke.
