The 8th Technology Development Zone Defense Industry Cluster (TSSK) Project Market and Collaboration Summit took place at the METU Culture and Congress Center. President of the Defense Industry Haluk Görgün made an important announcement regarding the steps taken in artificial intelligence. Accordingly, ASELSAN is working on an artificial intelligence program named ASEL CPT.

Görgün’s statement is as follows:
“ASELSAN has made artificial intelligence an integral part of all its processes. We are preparing the ASELSAN Artificial Intelligence Strategy. We are also implementing a project called ASEL CPT. We are trying to guide our sector with such permanent projects. Autonomous technologies are our important areas. We have a quantum laboratory. We will achieve significant successes with our stakeholders.”
On the other hand, the first Turkish artificial intelligence product called ASEL CPT is not identified as a rival to ChatGPT. HAVELSAN introduced the MAIN GPT program earlier this month, which has been in development for some time. MAIN is described as a Turkish-based artificial intelligence platform that operates within the internal networks of institutions and is fed by their own data.
