Players will have to wait a while longer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The release date, which was previously delayed from November 2024 to February 2025, was postponed by Ubisoft to March 20, 2025. So the game has once again been put on hold.

Marc-Alexis Coté, the game’s lead at Ubisoft, explained the reason for the postponement as “to better evaluate player feedback and deliver a more seamless and engaging experience on launch day.”
The delay reflects a challenging time for Ubisoft. Star Wars Outlaws, the company’s biggest game in 2024, struggled to meet commercial expectations. This seems to have pushed the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows a little further ahead.
Ubisoft is also making significant changes within the company. It has decided to end its store exclusive agreements on the PC platform and offer all its games for sale on Steam.
