Asus has updated and perfected another one of its top gaming monitors. The new ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM Gen 3 takes the already popular formula to the next level with critical touches that enhance image quality and durability.
“Black Shield” Eliminates Purple Reflections
The problem of blacks turning purple in bright environments, a major chronic issue with QD-OLED panels, is a thing of the past with this model.
- Black Shield Film: Asus states that this special layer added to the panel improves black depth by 40%.
- Smooth Image: The new anti-reflective coating maintains clarity even under strong light, while the improved surface technology is much more resistant to scratches that may occur during daily use.
At the heart of the monitor is Samsung’s next-generation panel technology. The massive 32-inch screen promises realism in every pixel:
- Resolution and Speed: 4K resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, and an incredible 0.03ms (GtG) response time.
- HDR Quality: The HDR 400 certification from the previous model has been upgraded to VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black in this version. This means much more detailed and impressive visuals in dark scenes.
Updates on the connectivity side have made the device perfect for next-generation graphics cards and consoles:
- DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20): This new port, supporting the highest data bandwidth, comes alongside HDMI 2.1.
- USB-C Power: A lifesaver for laptop users, 90W power delivery allows both image transfer and high-speed charging via a single cable.
To combat the biggest concern with OLED screens, “burn-in,” Asus also offers OLED Care tools in this model. Furthermore, thanks to the built-in KVM switch, it’s possible to control two different computers with a single keyboard and mouse. NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and Dolby Vision support are among the other premium features that complete the package.
Asus has not yet announced the price and exact release date, but the PG32UCDM Gen 3 has already attracted attention as the most refined QD-OLED option on the market, especially for those who play games in brightly lit rooms.
