Asus is rolling out a major firmware update ACSE 2.1.15.0, for every handheld in the ROG Ally family. This includes the original ROG Ally, the updated ROG Ally X, and the newer Xbox-branded ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X. While the core update is universal, each model receives a tailored set of enhancements.
ROG Xbox Ally X gets advanced core tuning
Asus now lets ROG Xbox Ally X users fine-tune the Ryzen Z2 Extreme SoC with the latest update. You can individually adjust P-cores and E-cores through the Performance > More Settings menu in Armoury Crate.
In addition, Asus has improved trigger haptics and addressed a bug related to Auto Super Resolution, ensuring better performance consistency during gameplay.
Power-saving tools see deeper integration
Across the board, the update now integrates AMD Radeon Chill directly with Asus’ FPS limiter. Radeon Chill dynamically reduces CPU and GPU usage during low-intensity scenes, helping conserve battery life without sacrificing performance where it counts.
Asus has disabled Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) by default. If you want to use it, you’ll need to enable it manually on a per-game basis.
