The new console will be able to play Atari 2600 and Atari 7800 games. For this purpose, there will be a floppy disk slot like on the original console. This floppy disk will contain legendary games such as Adventure, Combat, Missile Command and Haunted House.

In terms of technical specifications, we should not expect too much from the Atari 2600 Plus. The console will be powered by a Rockchip 3128 processor and will have 256MB of RAM. But most importantly, it will have HDMI for seamless compatibility with television or monitor. It will also offer widescreen support for enhanced visuals.

It’s worth noting that the Atari 2600+ retains the iconic four-way controller and classic ports. However, Atari will also offer extra controllers for games like Pong and Breakout. The new console will retail for $130.
