Atari’s $124M gaming hotel opens fan investment at just $500

Ana sayfa / News

Atari is leaning into its legacy with something bold: a full-scale, neon-drenched gaming hotel in Phoenix. With a $124 million budget and a glowing pitch, the company has opened the doors not to guests, but to investors. You can now buy into the future of gamer hospitality for as little as $500.

This isn’t a themed arcade bar or retro motel. Atari wants to build a legitimate destination: a modern hotel stacked with high-tech guest rooms, esports arenas, content creator suites, restaurants, shopping venues, and a concert hall that can hold over 2,000 guests. The entire space is soaked in futuristic Cyberpunk vibes.

Jordan Taylor, a partner at Intersection Development (the firm leading the build), summed up the ambition: “Atari Hotels was born from the idea that hospitality could be as interactive as gaming itself.”

Atari has chosen a Reg A community ownership model, meaning everyday fans, not just VCs, can fund the project. Starting at $500, backers can claim a stake in the vision.

Here’s what the investment tiers offer:

The plan has already netted $14 million, with a target raise of $35–$40 million to move forward with construction. Land is secured, and the current goal is to break ground by 2026.

Despite the hype, this is still a long shot. The full project requires $124 million, and Atari is currently missing over $100 million of that total. Even if fans line up with $500 investments, it would take tens of thousands of backers or a few deep-pocketed believers to fully bankroll the vision.

That said, it’s not out of the question. With exclusive perks for high-tier contributors, some investors may chip in $10K–$50K or more to lock in top-tier access and early branding rights.

It’s hard to say whether a gaming hotel becomes the next Vegas-style destination or a cautionary crowdfunding tale. But Atari’s pushing ahead with land in hand, a funding pipeline in motion, and a public willing to spend for nostalgia with flair.

For now, $500 buys you more than a piece of Atari’s revival. It buys you a front-row seat to the wildest hotel pitch in gaming.
