Instagram Store tab removed for some users
Instagram’s latest design experiment upset sales and shopping users. Because some users saw that the old Store tab was not in the notification submenu. The company is currently testing the new submenu design with a small number of users.
In fact, Meta spokesperson Anne Yeh stated that it is part of ongoing work to further simplify the Instagram experience. Yeh confirmed the test in a statement to The Verge. Anne Yeh also evasively answered the question of how many people the tests were conducted with and stated that it was limited.
Company added the Store tab to the platform nearly two years ago during the pandemic, when online shopping was at an all-time high. This gave creators a new way to connect with users. Brands and small businesses have also offered products for sale, giving users the ability to instantly purchase products that appear in their feeds. So where is the Store button?
Users who took the test gave the answer to this question. “Store button in settings.” This led to the opinion that the company pushed the relevant feature into the background a bit. However, this design trial is still in the testing phase and it is still unclear whether it will be permanent on the platform. What do you think about this subject?
