Baldur’s Gate 3 won the Game of the Year award at the Dice Awards in Las Vegas yesterday. Baldur’s Gate 3, developed by Larian, also won Game of the Year at The Game Awards.

At the 27th Dice Awards, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, developed by Insomniac Games, also won awards. The game won six awards in total, including an Outstanding Achievement award for the character Miles Morales.
Organized by the Academy of Interactive Arts (AIAS) and voted on by more than 30,000 industry experts, the Dice Awards recognize the developers and studios that have created the most groundbreaking video games of the year. Awards were presented in 23 different categories, including outstanding achievements in technology, art, animation, story and sound.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 won in the categories of Animation, Character, Original Music Composition, Sound Design, Technical Achievement and Action Game.
Belgian game developer Larian Studios won five awards for their work on Baldur’s Gate 3, including Outstanding Achievement awards for Story, Game Direction and Game Design, as well as Role Playing Game of the Year and Game of the Year.
Nintendo won in the Adventure Game category for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in the Adventure Game category. Remedy Entertainment was recognized for Outstanding Achievement in the Art Direction category for its horror game Alan Wake 2.
AIAS also recognized Japanese music composer, pianist and sound director Koji Kondo for his impressive contributions to Nintendo over his 40-year career. Presenting Kondo with the Academy’s Hall of Fame award for his contributions to the iconic Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda video game franchises was composer Brian Tyler, best known for his work on the Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Game developers and industry professionals from around the world attended the 27th Annual Dice Awards ceremony on February 15 at Aria Las Vegas. The event was broadcast live by media partner IGN. You can check out the full list of award-winning games here.
