The Tumbler vehicle that Batman fans have been dreaming of is finally becoming a reality. Over the years, there have been many attempts at life-size reproductions of the famous Tumbler from the Batman trilogy The Dark Knight. Some have been slightly more realistic than others, but none have managed to come as close to the car from the movie as the new reproductions. So why is this vehicle so special? Here’s the price and features…
You have to pay 3 million dollars for Batman’s legendary Tumbler!
First of all, the most important detail that sets this vehicle apart from other replicas is that it was officially announced by Warner Bros. The limited edition iconic vehicle will be produced in only 10 pieces and will be a collectible artifact for Batman fans.
Each Tumbler is exactly the same design we see in the Batman movies. What’s more, the vehicle is 4.64 meters long and 2.82 meters wide, mirroring all the details of the original model from the movies. The Tumbler, which impresses with its iconic exterior design, also stands out with its interior design.
Details such as black headliners, racing-style five-point safety belts and seating for two make the car not only eye-catching but also functional. Even the faux jet turbine at the rear has been carefully added to make it look like the movie.
The Tumbler’s technical specifications are also impressive, built on an aerodynamic steel frame and a robust structure made of Kevlar, carbon fiber, glass fiber and metal alloys. Under the hood is a 6.2-liter V8 engine.
This engine is capable of producing 525 horsepower and 660 Nm of torque, which gives the Tumbler power not only in appearance but also in performance. Equipped with the four-speed GM 4L85E automatic transmission, the vehicle is able to deliver high performance despite its massive 2.5-ton weight.
In addition, despite this powerful engine, the vehicle offers a level of comfort that one would not expect from an air conditioning system. Of course, owning this legendary vehicle comes at a price: 2.99 million dollars. Even though the price tag is quite high, for collectors and Batman fans who want to own such a rare and powerful vehicle, the price might be too low. By the way, don’t expect to see the Tumbler in traffic, as it is not roadworthy.
