Games are something we sit down with to relieve the stress of the day or sometimes just to have fun. Some games, especially open world games, can take a very long time to finish. This is not good for people who don’t have time, who have a free day and want to finish a game on it.
Best games with short playing time but fun
Outlast
Still one of my favorite horror games, 2013’s Outlast draws players in with its frightening atmosphere and chase mechanics. You are in a psychiatric hospital overrun by homicidal patients. As a journalist, you go to investigate and shoot the place. You cannot attack your enemies here. You have only one goal and that is to survive. If you focus on the main story, the game has a play time of 5 hours. So you can finish it in one night if you want.
Little Nightmares 1 – 2
Another horror and adventure themed game is the Little Nightmares series. Set in a mysterious world, Little Nightmares follows the journey of Six, a hungry little girl who must escape from the Maw, an iron ship inhabited by monstrous, twisted beings. Both games, which have received extremely positive reactions, have a 5-hour completion time.
Portal
It is a game based on the logic of solving the puzzles encountered with the help of the gateways opened by using the weapon called portal gun given to you. Portal, which has a very good physics engine, is not a game with boring puzzles. Because there is a robot trying to kill you! It takes 3 hours to finish the game. There is a second version of the game and it is just as good as the first one. But we didn’t include it in the list because it takes around 8 hours to finish.
Stray
Stray won the award for the best indie game of 2022 and the award for the best debut indie game. In the game, we control a stray cat who falls into a walled city inhabited by robots, machines and viruses and sets out to return to the surface with the help of a drone friend named B-12. Stray is a popular game with its theme, graphics and gameplay style, and takes 5 hours to complete.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a game that many gamers have fallen in love with, especially the sniper mission. It has captured the hearts of players with its story, the environments in the missions, and the variety of missions. The time to finish the game is relatively longer than the other games on the list. According to records, it has a completion time of 6 hours.
A Way Out
One of the longer games on our list is A Way Out. However, we do not recommend a game that is not worth the playing time. You don’t have the chance to play this game about Vincent and Leo’s escape from prison and the events that follow. So you can finish this game at midnight with a friend just like a movie. So much so that the game takes 6 hours to finish.
INSIDE
INSIDE is an engaging puzzle game set in a dystopian world. The game takes you to a variety of locations, from the jungle to the abandoned city, from underwater to laboratories, all of which are different and depressing. With its graphics and dark theme, it attracts attention.
