Bethesda will not renew the Fallout series! Here’s why

Ana sayfa / News

Bethesda has decided not to renew the original Fallout games, and the reasons behind this decision are quite interesting. The Fallout series has captivated players with its post-apocalyptic world for 27 years. However, Bethesda refuses to give these classic games a modern touch.

Bethesda CEO Todd Howard explained in an interview with YouTuber MrMattyPlays that there are no plans for either remasters or remakes of the Fallout games from the 90s and early 2000s. Howard believes that these games should remain products of their time, played with a mouse and keyboard in their original form. According to him, their original charm should be preserved without modernization.

Despite Bethesda’s firm decision, some players are bringing their own Fallout remake projects to life. For example, some fans are attempting to remake Fallout 2 using the Fallout 4 engine. However, it is unclear how Bethesda will react to these fan projects. In the past, many game publishers have taken legal action against similar fan projects.
