Bill Gates made one of his harshest statements to date against Elon Musk in his latest interview. Gates said that Musk was violating the right to life of children in the poorest regions of the world by cutting US government aid.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), founded by Elon Musk and acting with the claim of “increasing efficiency” in public spending, is at the center of the criticism. This new structure had decided to close the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in February.
According to Gates, this decision will lead to the collapse of health services in many poor countries. It is stated that especially medicine and food aid waiting in warehouses are left to rot without being distributed, and this has caused diseases such as measles, HIV and polio to increase again.
Gates said that centers fighting HIV in Mozambique and Gaza were also directly affected by these cuts. These centers were dependent on aid from the United States to continue treatment programs that prevent HIV-positive mothers from transmitting the virus to their babies.
There has been no response from Elon Musk yet. However, Gates’ statements have had a wide impact on the US public and global health circles. There are concerns that the suspension of activities by international aid agencies such as USAID will cause permanent damage.
