A giant campaign from Microsoft: 1 million dollar prize to lure users to Bing
The campaign, which will launch on October 8, will primarily target users in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany and Puerto Rico. The prize campaign will integrate with Microsoft’s Rewards loyalty program, with participants earning more sweepstakes entries as they engage with the platform.
To start, users who enter the contest will immediately receive five sweepstakes entries, with additional tasks, such as performing daily Bing searches on the platform or using the Microsoft Edge browser, leading to up to 200 sweepstakes entries. By the way, the campaign is not limited to the grand prize; Microsoft will also offer a $10,000 second prize to two runners-up.
In addition, Microsoft is offering a socially responsible support to the contest participants. When participants enter the contest by winning more than 50 raffle prizes, Microsoft will contribute $5 to donate to UNICEF and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). In total, the company plans to support up to $500,000 through these donations.
It is said that Microsoft’s initiative is aimed at bringing Bing to more users and challenging Google’s dominance. Thanks to the recent ChatGPT integration, Bing has taken itself to a different point by offering a more interactive and conversational search experience, but it is still difficult to catch Google’s large user base.
Normally, the Microsoft Rewards program offers its users rewards such as Xbox Game Pass subscriptions or gift vouchers, but this time the rewards will be distributed in cash. So what do you think about this? You can write your opinions in the comments section below.
