BlueStacks, which brings Android games and apps to computers, now comes with a new version called BlueStacks Air, designed specifically for ARM Macs with Apple Silicon chips. The new emulator is optimized for Macs using Apple’s M1, M2 and higher chips. So when will it be available? Is BlueStacks Air free to use? Details in our news
BlueStacks Air, an Android emulator dedicated to Apple’s silicon-chip ARM Mac devices, will launch on December 10
First of all, BlueStacks Air will meet users for the first time on December 10, 2024. With the release, which will start with a limited test program of 1000 people per day, Android games will enter the silicon chip ARM Mac world in a very ambitious way. For those of us who do not know what BlueStacks is, we can define it as an emulator that works like an Android phone on PCs with Windows operating system.
The Air version will be exclusive to ARM Mac devices and will make it extremely simple to run Android games for Mac. Previously, complex solutions or Windows-based virtual machines were used to run Android on ARM Macs. However, BlueStacks Air will allow you to set up an Android environment and play games directly with a click. In other words, it will be a lifesaver for users who want to play games without any technical knowledge.
Will it be free?
Actually, the answer to this question is not yet clear. Because the token icons on the user interface of BlueStacks Air give clues about the working model of the emulator. The new system may require some form of tokenization to run Android apps and games. Presumably, unlike a completely free model, they could offer users a flexible payment plan. However, how this token system will work and the pricing policy is not yet clear.
For now, BlueStacks Air will be unrivaled when it comes to running Android games on ARM Macs. In fact, China-based MuMu Player Pro offers a similar experience, but operates on a paid model, limiting its user base. We think BlueStacks will come with a free or low-cost token system.
The beta version of BlueStacks Air will first be available to international users. However, the company announced that the full version of the product will reach a wider audience, including the Chinese market. What do you think about this? You can express your opinions in the comments below.
