The Game Awards, the most prestigious award ceremony in the gaming world, will be held on December 13th. On the night, it was revealed that 2K Games will release new trailers for Borderlands 4 and Mafia: The Old Country. New games will be presented as the last surprises of the year.
Borderlands 4 and Mafia: The Old Country will be on Game Awards
Borderlands 4, the next game in the beloved series, will feature gameplay footage and a cutscene that bridges the gap between Borderlands 3 and the new game. Developer Gearbox promised that this game will be “the most ambitious Borderlands yet”.
Gearbox tweeted, “Brace yourselves! We’re ready to raise the bar at The Game Awards. Who’s ready to get a first look at the most ambitious Borderlands game yet?” First revealed at this year’s Gamescom, Borderlands 4 will launch in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
The new trailer is expected to offer more details about the game’s story, characters and the series’ signature loot-focused gameplay. Another game that will accompany Borderlands 4 at the Game Awards will be Mafia: The Old Country.
Developer Hangar 13 announced in August that the game will be present at The Game Awards 2024 and a gameplay trailer will be released. The Old Country will launch in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
