Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy A55 5G model that appeals to the middle segment. Following last year’s popular Galaxy A54 5G model, the smartphone aims to offer flagship performance at an affordable price point.
What does Samsung Galaxy A55 5G offer?
Galaxy A55 5G comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. Powered by the 4nm Exynos 1480 chipset, the phone promises up to 32 percent better GPU and 15 percent better CPU performance compared to the previous model.
The phone also has up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. On the software front, Samsung is committing to four generations of Android system upgrades and five years of security updates for the Galaxy A55 5G. The device comes with Android 14-based One UI 6.1 out of the box.
On the camera side, it adopts a triple setup. It comes with a 50 Megapixel main, 12 Megapixel ultra-wide and 5 Megapixel macro sensor. The screen-embedded front camera has a resolution of 32 Megapixels. Let us remind you that it is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
The Galaxy A55 5G will go on sale in various markets starting next week. It will be available in colors such as Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Lemon, Awesome Lilac and Awesome Navy. The 8GB/128GB model starts at 479 euros.
