Samsung is preparing to add two new models to its affordable tablet lineup. According to leaked promotional materials, the Galaxy Tab A11 and Galaxy Tab A11+ aim to offer a budget-friendly option without sacrificing essential features. The most striking detail is that these tablets come with seven years of software update support. However, the features appear to be the same as the A9+. Here are the details.
Galaxy Tab A11 Specifications
The two models take different approaches to screen size. The Tab A11 comes with an 8.7-inch display with a 1340×800 resolution, while the larger Tab A11+ has an 11-inch display with a 1920×1200 resolution. Both models feature a 90Hz refresh rate, a feature rarely seen in entry-level tablets, which will make scrolling and animations much smoother.
Different chipsets are used for the processor. The Tab A11 uses the MediaTek Helio G99 chip, offering 4GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage, while the Tab A11+ takes a more modern approach, featuring the 4nm MediaTek MT8167 processor with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Both models offer microSD card support up to 2TB, increasing storage flexibility.
The audio experience also differs between the models. While the Tab A11 comes with dual speakers, the Tab A11+ offers richer sound quality with a quad-speaker setup. Both devices have modest cameras: an 8MP sensor on the rear and a 5MP sensor on the front, sufficient for video calls and everyday photography.
Battery capacity: The smaller model has a 5,100mAh battery with 15W charging, while the larger model offers a larger 7,040mAh battery with 25W charging. The tech giant will provide Android and security updates for seven years.
