Owning a Bugatti undoubtedly comes with many privileges. A special service network worldwide, after-sales special services, special cars, and more… But perhaps the coolest of these is the privilege of a Bugatti speed test. The brand invited its customers worldwide, who are available, to a test drive with their cars. Users were nearly breaking the world record in speed tests. Here are the details about the Bugatti speed test…
A Bugatti user reached a speed of 400 kilometers per hour with their own car! Bugatti organized a test event last week to test the aerodynamics and durability of their cars. The event was held inside Space Florida’s Launch and Landing Facility. In other words, a space shuttle launch facility was closed off in style for ground planes and their owners.
The event was held together with Bugatti and Bugatti’s former customers. All Bugatti owners came to the event with their own cars. The brand designed a custom Bugatti racing jumpsuit for all drivers and gave it as a gift. Besides these, there were completely different gifts waiting for Bugatti owners.
Since the event area is an old space shuttle launch facility, there is a 3-mile long runway on the ground. This is a runway where old space shuttles were taken to the parking area and returning rockets landed. However, now it has become a test area for super sports cars, which are named ground planes.
Car owners who went to the track tested their cars one by one. A user managed to reach 400 kilometers per hour at the event, which was beautifully fun. Considering the speed record of the Bugatti Chiron is 417 kilometers, we could almost say it’s a world record. The aerodynamic properties of the cars were also tested at the event. Bugatti engineers took the necessary notes and user experience notes.
Regarding the event, Brand Director Evan Cygler said, “The Chiron Super Sport showed a confident stance at 400 km/h as it did at 200 km/h. This was an unforgettable experience and reinforced my passion for the Bugatti brand even more.” The brand director then wrote the highest speed the user achieved at the event on the back of the helmet used by each participant and gave it as a gift.
