Ana sayfa / News

The rising star of electric vehicles has made a decision that closely concerns its users. BYD is recalling about 100 thousand vehicles from Dolphin and Yuan Plus models. The reason for the recall is a manufacturing defect detected in the control unit of the electrically assisted steering system in the vehicles. Here are the details

The fault can cause a capacitor on the controller to overheat over time. This poses a potential fire risk. Fortunately, no serious incidents have been reported so far, but BYD has acted cautiously and announced that it is taking action to fix the problem.

The recall covers vehicles manufactured between February and December 2023. As part of the process, which will not impose any cost on vehicle owners, BYD authorized services will add insulation pads to the recalled vehicles free of charge. In this way, the pressure on the capacitor will be reduced and the risk of overheating will be completely eliminated.

While BYD is growing rapidly in the electric vehicle market, it has once again demonstrated the importance it attaches to customer safety. Considering how important safety issues are, especially in electric vehicles, BYD’s decision is quite appropriate.

Such recalls are important for brands to fulfill their responsibilities. It can also be a source of confidence for users. What do you think about this? You can write your opinions in the comments section below.
