In the prestigious 2024 China Automobile Awards, Chery’s Exlantix ET model claimed the top spot, surpassing 31 competitors to be named Car of the Year.

Chery’s Deputy General Manager, Gao Xinhua, emphasized that the car’s success is based on three innovative technologies: the range-extending system, four-wheel drive, and smart driving technology. The extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) version particularly impressed the jury.
The jury appreciated the 1.5-liter turbocharged generator’s 44.5% thermal efficiency and its fuel consumption of 5.9 liters per 100 kilometers. Combined with the 67-liter fuel tank, the Exlantix ET reaches a range of 1500 kilometers according to CLTC standards.
The Exlantix ET’s dual-electric motor all-wheel-drive system is also noteworthy. It generates 150 kW (201 hp) at the front axle and 195 kW (261 hp) at the rear axle, delivering a total of 345 kW (485 hp) and 634 Nm of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds.
