Call of Duty Black Ops 7 beta extended with new multiplayer map

The Call of Duty Black Ops 7 open beta was supposed to wrap up on October 8, but Treyarch had other plans. Players now have 24 more hours to level up, test new gear, and explore a freshly dropped multiplayer map.

Treyarch officially announced that the free open beta will now end on October 9, 2025, at 9 AM PT, instead of its original deadline. That gives current testers a full extra day to dig deeper into the experience or a final chance for newcomers to jump in.

Available across Steam, Battle.net, PlayStation, and Xbox, the beta includes both multiplayer and zombie modes, though the latter remains limited to one map for now.

House of Necrosis creeps onto Steam with retro roguelike thrills

House of Necrosis brings 32-bit horror and roguelike dungeon crawling to Steam with a launch discount and procedurally generated survival.

To keep things fresh, Treyarch added a new map called Toshin to the beta rotation. Set in a Japanese downtown shopping district, it’s packed with neon lights, narrow alleyways, and vertical lanes for close-quarters fights.

With Toshin now live, the total number of multiplayer maps in the beta rises to six.

While multiplayer just got a new playground, the zombie experience remains centered on Vandorn Farm. It’s the only map available in the beta, but it offers plenty of undead chaos for those willing to squad up.

Players can still make progress using XP boosts, which are active across all modes.

If you’re just jumping in, now’s the time. Both 2XP and 2X Weapon XP are still live, making it easier to unlock:

You don’t need to grind for hours just to get competitive. The boost window levels the field, even for latecomers.

The full release of Call of Duty Black Ops 7 lands on November 14, 2025, but this beta extension shows Activision wants as many players involved as possible.

The fight’s not over, just extended.
