Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag remake coming in 2025?
Ubisoft may release its long-rumored Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake project in 2025, according to rumors. According to leaked documents about the Black Flag remake project, codenamed Obsidian, the game was scheduled for release in November 2025. There seem to have been a few minor changes to the roadmap.
Invictus, the previously rumored Assassin’s Creed multiplayer game, was set to launch around the same time. The leak suggests that Ubisoft has an ambitious plan to release around 10 new Assassin’s Creed games in various formats over the next 5 years.
This plan includes the previously announced Assassin’s Creed Jade mobile game, which is expected to be released in the second quarter of 2025. However, according to Ubisoft, the postponement of Assassin’s Creed Mirage has affected the overall roadmap of the series.
While the 2025 target for the Black Flag remake is not set in stone, the project is planned to be released earlier than expected. This means it could debut in the next couple of years.
The leaks also revealed a gameplay video of the Black Flag remake running on Ubisoft’s new AnvilNext 2.0 game engine. The video showcases revamped ship combat and exploration mechanics.
